My love for horses started young, however a pony ride at a Girl Scout event in first grade solidified my love for the sport. I started taking riding lessons when I was 7 years old. My first competition on the NIHJA circuit was when I was 10 years old, and I started competing on the B circuit when I was 14 years old. I currently train with Paula McKinnon at Glen Grove Equestrian Center. My competition highlights include getting first in the training jumpers at the Ledges B Circuit year end awards in 2024, first in the puddles and schooling jumpers for NIHJA in 2023 and a sportsmanship award in 2022 for IEA.
I’m currently a sophomore at John Hersey High school in Arlington Heights, IL. I maintain a 3.81 GPA and am enrolled in Honors and AP classes. When I am not in the show ring I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family and playing lacrosse.
I am very passionate about finding the right college to further my riding career and to earn the opportunity to ride for a Varsity IHSA equestrian team. I am so grateful for all the sport has given me and taught me in regard to learning patience, teaching me to be determined and hardworking and to be a collaborative team player always willing to help out. Riding and working with horses has helped me to develop a strong work ethic and to strive to be the best I can be. I can’t wait to commit myself to my future team!
